Ducane
Stainless Gas Grill
by Ken Walker -

As a grilling advocate, I frequently look at outdoor grills available in the various
department stores and home improvement stores I shop in. I critique them. I look at price, quality, value,
durability, convenience and looks.
That being said, I find it very unfortunate that most stores simply don’t carry the type of
quality that I’m looking for. More often than not, the metal is thin and pliable when it should be thick and
sturdy. The work areas, if they are there, are small and practically unusable.
For gas grills, you want even burning that you can control precisely. Is that too much to ask
for?
To look at most grills on the market, you would think so. Until, that is, you set your eyes on
a Ducane stainless gas grill.
This grill will make your mouth water, just looking at it.
Beauty from top to bottom. And sturdy too. Solid and heavy. True, you can’t throw it in the
back of a pickup very easy, but you probably wouldn’t want to do that anyway. It’s too nice for
that.
Surprisingly, this grill is under a thousand dollars. With the Affinity S 3200, you’re going
to get 480 square inches of primary cooking area, plus another 144 square inches of warming rack area. That’s
a total of 624 square inches which should give you plenty of room for some T-Bones and hotdogs.
Speaking of T-Bones, what about steak searing strength? This Ducane stainless gas grill puts
out 36,000 BTUs. You’ll also get another 12,000 BTUs on the flush-mounted side burner.
Convenience on every hand with two locking and two swivel casters, a built-in thermometer and
stainless steel heat distribution plates for even cooking throughout the grilling area.
